Attendees will learn why vulnerable and courageous conversations are essential to building a culture of true inclusion and safety, why we have fallen short of that goal as we have tried to create safe spaces, and how to make better mistakes in order to ensure that those who have felt marginalized can finally be included and we can achieve our highest performance together.

Most organizations think they're created safe spaces. There are policies in place for reporting discrimination. Nonetheless, many marginalized people don't feel psychological safety or inclusion because subtle acts of exclusion and unconscious bias are rampant. We will explore how HR professionals can support a more active kind of inclusion, where we connect authentically, where we broach hard conversations with vulnerability and courage, and where we grow and learn together when we mess up.
